Title: Community Liaison (Pinedale, Laramie, Thermopolis, and Lovell area)

Status: 50-100 hours per year

Pay Scale: $25-40 an hour 

Wyoming Pathways is looking to hire a part-time contractor, to provide bicycle, pedestrian, and trail consulting services in Pinedale, Laramie, Thermopolis, and Lovell. This individual will need to be a self-starter and work well without direct supervision. Talents required include but are not limited to being friendly, service-oriented, inquisitive, an effective communicator, and driven by quality outcomes. We see this person as a “connector and convener”, as well as someone who can adeptly capture the meaning and purpose of a broad array of interests with a wide range of partners. This position reports to the Executive Director and will coordinate with other staff members. This person will be paid monthly through the submission of invoices and monthly reports.

 

List of Deliverables (will vary for each community)

  1. Develop and lead the (community) Active Transportation / Recreation Initiative (ATRI)
  2. Actively listen to the community needs and catalog ATRI projects that have solid community support
  3. Gather community input including interviews with community leaders
  4. Establish an ongoing partnership with local clubs on advocacy support for community ATRI projects and initiatives
  5. From those listening steps, develop a local Active Transportation Improvement Program (ATIP) for your community
  6. Seek agency champions and develop constructive partnerships
  7. Track agency budgets and advocate to place priority “community” ATRI Projects on the planning and capital improvement programs
  8. Select a top priority project and launch a campaign to build it in the near term
  9. Assist with press releases and other communication materials for “community” ATRI
  10. Help create a grassroots movement, including relationships with local clubs, bicycle and outdoor businesses, and media outlets
  11. Help seek and encourage donations and grants for Wyoming Pathways
  12. Consultant will determine the method, details, and means of performing the above-described Services; provided however, that Consultant shall perform such Services in a professional manner
  13. Additional duties as mutually agreed to by both parties
