Pole Mountain Trail Project Wins National Award

Exciting news…the Pole Mountain Trail Project won a national award from the Coalition for Recreational Trails. It’s great to get recognition for this project that brought together the US Forest Service, the Laramie Community, the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Conservation Corps (and us, of course) to accomplish something really worthwhile.

We are glad to receive the recognition, but are especially pleased to see the way that Laramie is continuing to work together with partners to build and maintain trails in their region. Their new organization, Common Outdoor Ground (COG), was formed to do just that. With outdoor recreation becoming more and more important in the State and the associated need for more and better maintained trails, Laramie is showing how bringing like-minded people and groups together can really make a difference in improving their community and their state.
