Wyoming Pathways and its partners are gearing up to once again help coordinate and fund some much needed trail improvements at Pole Mountain, near Laramie. The 2017 and 2018 Pole Mountain Trail Projects have provided over $200K of improvements to the Pole Mountain trail system, but there is much more work to be done. In this 2019 edition of the Pole Mountain Trail Project, we will be working with the US Forest Service and a professional trail builder to make major improvements to one of the system’s most heavily used trails, the Aspen Trail, and we need your help.
Wyoming Pathways, in partnership with the Laramie Ranger District, the project has been awarded a $25,000 National Forest Foundation grant that calls for a 50/50 match. The grant and match will pay for a professional trail builder to work this summer on the Aspen Trail improvements.
We have received help from Cycle Wyoming and the local community toward this match, but we are still well short of our goal that will allow us to apply the maximum amount of resource to the trails. Please help us meet that goal. By making a donation to the grant matching fund, you will be helping Wyoming Pathways and project partners to invest a total of $80,000 of improvements to to the Pole Mountain trail system this year. Combined work since 2016, Wyoming Pathways will have completed over $300,000 in trail improvements at Pole Mountain. We can’t do this without the help of our partners and the community and without the financial support from donors like you. Thanks for supporting Pole Mountain Trails!
